Seriously, even from a pure storytelling stand point it makes total sense. (And from a not-so-pure storytelling stand point, I can’t get over how ridiculously cute it is that the name Reyna means “queen” and the name Leo has connotations that indicate being “king.” For real, awwww!)

Valentines Day doesn’t have to suck!! Sorry, I’m getting in early before my dash really begins to flood with sad, self pitying Valentines Day posts from the population of single people on Tumblr.
Just a reminder that your self worth has no basis on whether or not you are in a relationship!! I am a strong cool funny independent lady with no man and I would still be a strong cool funny independent lady even if I did have a man; the only constant in this equation is me. Thus, the only constant equation in anything is you and you have the power to decide whether a singular day affects you positively or negatively.
Don’t for the love of God reblog self deprecating “humorous” (they’re not humorous, you’re not funny) posts aimed at making you feel awful on Valentines Day. I think Valentines Day is cute as heck!! Relationships are really cute! Love is really cute!! Just because you’re currently not experiencing romantic love doesn’t mean you’re not experiencing other kinds of love and maybe you should celebrate that instead of sitting alone in your room crying and getting bitter and jealous over other people because that is guaranteed to make you feel bad but I guess if you’re into that …
Don’t buy into the ‘single’s awareness day’ crap; that’s awful and it contributes to the societal mindset that being single is something that’s bad (when it is not) and insinuates that your self worth is based on whether you are in a relationship or not (it’s not). Don’t do it because you probably also guilt people who ARE in a relationship and who WANT TO ENJOY that relationship without wondering whether the fact that they are in a relationship makes other people depressed (??? when I lay it out like this do you realise how ridiculous that is.)
Do decide to do cute things for people you love!! Maybe not romantically but it’s still love, right?? Who cares if it’s cheesy or corny, do it. Send really creepy and hilarious Valentines to Tumblr users you like or admire. Make chocolates for your friends (I’m pretty sure my best friend did this one year and effectively made it The Best Valentines Day ever). Draw or write about your OTPs!! It’s like the one day of the year you can do whatever you want with your OTP and people will just accept it in the spirit, do you realise how great that is.
Just do something cute and positive so you feel cute and positive and make other people feel cute and positive instead of negative and crying and hating life and thinking about inadequacy. Given a choice between these two things I know what I would pick!

angels. yes plz. i think that if jane goes to jake’s planet, we’re in trouble, because angels have been something implemented in the plot for a WHILE without much elaboration. for something as intricate as they are, and as different from all the other components as the game, he never really used them as a plot device. sure, eridan talked about them some, but it wasn’t really pertinent to the plot from the point of view we were given.
that is, or so we thought.
i have a lot of theories that i’ve gotten from others about angels and what they do. ultimately, there’s no arguing that they’re loosely related to lord english.
angels have been described and DEPICTED in the image above as long serpentine beasts with wings. they emulate denizens, as seen by dirk’s and the other browser icons, but they also emulate denizen minions.
it wouldn’t be unreasonable to say that angels are some sort of minion, whether theyre related to denizens or not. and let’s all rememer who grandpa harley is a reincarnation of: …. a hope player!!!
both eridan and sollux at one point states that the angels are known for prophesy. this makes sense since they do live in a world marked by churches and light, and many land creatures prophesize things. but eridan specifically said that they prophecized THE LORD OF ALL ANGELS. i wonder what that could represent??
eridan then went to join jack noir, clearly believing HE was this lord that he was supposed to join.
but alternate universes point to lord english. here we see that cronus not only HEARD WHISPERS FROM THE ANGELS, like eridan claimed, but that he fought him. here it’s shown that aranea believes hope players are meant to face lord english, whether its to defeat him or potentially him like eridan was persuaded towards. it also implies that this failed duty is being passed on to who?? a FUTURE HOPE PLAYER.
that’s not to mention that caliborn said in the most recent update that hope players are not something to be trifled with.
while homestuck isnt exactly the most biblical of comics, if you know anything about abrahamic representations of angels, seraphs are a type of angel characterized by being serpents with wings. we’ve seen other references to biblical angel hierarchies, including the ever famed cherubs. seraphs are said to represent apotheosis which is considered the state of being raised to a god-like status, or even a LORD. they are some of the highest ranked angels, and are known to be the caretakers of god’s throne. what does this say about hope players, hope planets? a quick reminder that jake’s planet is a very familiar hue of green.
what does this all mean? we’ve seen that trickster jane has the ability to bring things back to life, and her title suits that as she brought her entire planet to rejuvenate with flowers and who knows what else. we also know that caliborn is suddenly becoming VERY buddy buddy with jake for some reason. the idea of jane reviving the creatures that most likely inhabited jakes planet is a very dangerous idea to me, and there’s no one more strongly on jane’s mind right now than jake english himself.
even if i’m not right in what’s going to happen i’m very curious about what WILL.
